Nice Carnival

Carnival is organized around two distinct events: the carnival Corso, day and night, and the Battle of Flowers.

In Masséna, or burlesque allegorical floats parade accompanied by animation elements, street arts and world music ensembles. These carnival corsi take on the appearance of initiation journeys ... A world tour in 90 minutes!

History 

While it is a tradition that dates back to the Middle Ages, the Nice Carnival has gained international prestige in the late nineteenth century. Since then, thousands of tourists from around the world come to this French city during the month of February to witness this dazzling show.

Carefully decorated floats, marching bands and big heads parade to the delight of the audience, trying to get one of the three prizes awarded: for best coach, the best and the best character stubborn.

The Nice Carnival is one of the world's major carnival events, alongside the Brazilian Carnival and Venetian Carnival. It is held Annually in February in Nice on the French Riviera.
